Acasuso said: "I played a great match and am very happy to be in the
semi-finals in Buenos Aires once again. I played well from the back and took
control of the points. The idea was to play fast and the tactic worked very
well.
"I dream about winning the title here. In the two finals I've played, in the
first one I was young and lost to a great player (Kuerten). Last year I was
up a set and ended up losing a close one."
"It should be a tough semi-final. David is the defending champion, one of
most talented players on the tour. I will focus in my game and try to win the
match," Monaco said.
"I can't complain the way I've been playing this week," said Nalbandian after
his 300th career match win. "I had a fever all day yesterday so I was just
trying to keep the points short. I wasn't feeling so well but I managed to
win, which is the most important.
"Pico (Monaco) is playing very well. I'm sure it will be a tough match
tomorrow."
