我的猜測是ARDS

急性呼吸窘迫症候群(又名蜆港症)

這又有一段故事：很多一戰、二戰、越戰軍人受到創傷之後，明明沒有致死性的傷口

卻死於呼吸困難。

肺泡是血液交換氧氣與二氧化碳的地方，血液會有一部分不太含有蛋白質的液體滲出

跑到肺泡細胞間，交換氧氣和二氧化碳，這時候肺泡內不會進水，肺泡間的水會由淋巴

吸收回血液中。

在很多嚴重創傷、感染、肺炎、胃中的東西嗆進肺或急性心肌缺血壞死的狀況下

身體中的自然保護機制發炎反應會啟動，放出一些細胞激素，聯帶作用的結果是

肺泡細胞的內皮通透性變大，然後肺就淹水了(像SARS的死亡因素也是如此)，

病人一開始會咳出不太有內容物的痰、泡泡狀的分泌物，嚴重者因為無法呼吸而死。

這個案例裡面說除了急救造成的輕微傷口外找不到特別的創傷，

還有胸口遭到膝擊，我覺得ARDS是致死原因。

Our examination has not shown any type of chest pains. Also there are no
traumatic injuries that have been caused by a strike, but only some minor
marks stemming from the resuscitation attempts.”
