I'll start of by...you know, first thinking on ownership, thank fan, thank you
everybody for being here. Ummm... I hope to single out and be able to say "
thank you" indivisually to each one of my teammates, but it kind of looks like
there's a little bit more than I expected. And...but guys, you have no idea
what this means, going into this in last week...

我要先...你知道的，先謝謝老闆，謝謝球迷，謝謝所有前來參加的人。呃...我想要向隊
友們一個一個說謝謝，不過人比我預期的還多。不過你們不了解其中的意義，當我上禮拜
面臨這個...(哽咽)


In this last week, living up to this, it's probably one the hardest weeks that
you go through with the plan. To have you guys here, I really appreciate it.
You guys take time out, you guys had late game today, and, thank you, I really
appreciate it. And than goes to coaches over here, Tuck, thanks, everyone else,
train staff, thank you. Mom and dad, thank you for being here last week, and
Scott. Catherine, girls, I wouldn't have any other lad.

在上個禮拜時，我得面臨這些事，我必須實行計畫，這次我人生中的最難熬的一週之一。
你們大家來這裡，我真的很感謝，你們特地抽空，而且稍早才剛打完比賽，我真的很感激
。還有這裡的教練們，Gary Tuck(牛棚教練，當過捕手)、訓練員們，謝謝大家。爸、媽

I'm here now to officially announce that I'm retiring as a player. And months
of deliberating what to do, I thought it was the best for me and my family that
I retired. But I retired Red Sox. My decision to retire wasn't something that I
took lightly. At any sense for the work more did I want to do more than I want
This has been probably the most difficult decision that I've had to make in my
career. But the oppurtunity to start and finish my Major League career in one
place meant more to me than why I'm standing here today.

我在此正式宣佈我要以球員身份退休。經過幾個月以來的深思，我認為退休對我和我的家
人們是最好的。但我要以紅襪球員身份退休。我一直很難做出決定，這或許是我生涯中最
艱難的決擇。不過我有機會能夠在同一個地方開始以及結束大聯盟生涯，比為何我能站在
這裡，更具有意義。


Being a part of this Red Sox organization the past 14 years, there is something
I'll truly cherish, and I do really cherish. And I thank all you for giving me
this oppurtunity ,to this taken everybody to let that to happen. To Red Sox
nation, the best fans in baseball, thank you, thank you for making this most
special place to play. My teammates, it's what I'm gonna miss the most. It's
the hardest thing to do, is to walk away from your teammates, and what they
meant to you over the years. Thank you.

能夠在紅襪打14年，我有很多能夠珍惜的事，我也真的很珍惜這些事情。還有謝謝讓我有
機會在紅襪打拼14年的所有人。謝謝棒球界中最棒的球迷，紅襪球迷們，讓這個地方成為
最特別的地方讓我們打球。隊友們，我最想念的將會是你們。最困難的事情，就是離開你
們，還有這些年來對我的意義。謝謝你們。


Ally, Kendall, and Caroline, you make going home from games or from things
were'nt so well that much easier. Just want you know, daddy's love is as far as
eastern from the west. Dad, I've been in pain over this last couple months,
that had been emotional. This is not been easy, but thank you. I love you.

Ally、Kendall和Caroline，你們讓我在回家時可以從比賽或是不好的事情中感到輕鬆不
少。我想讓你們知道，爸爸非常的愛你們。爸，我在最近這幾個月很痛苦，變的很情緒化
，這段時間很不輕鬆，不過謝謝你，我愛你。


As I walk away from this game, I can look at the man in the mirror and be proud
that I gave everything I could to this game, this organization, my teammates.
Once again, I just want to say, thank you.

在我離開後，我可以看著鏡中的自己，為自己感到驕傲，為比賽、球隊、和我的隊友們盡
心盡力。我只想再說，謝謝你們。

兒們。
