第一版

Popo隨後與Aldridge多次會面，他表示：
「我會很開心能把你交易走，如果能換來一個像是Kevin Durant的優秀球員，
我會親自開車載你去機場，幫你打包、上飛機、帶到位子上。
但是很可惜的，我接下來一年依然會是你最好的夥伴，因為你還要再待一年，
你哪裡都不能去。你換不到我們想要的其他東西。所以我們得一起努力。」
Popo還表示，自己可以指揮Aldridge防守，但是在進攻方面自己之前管太多了，
讓Aldridge做自己之後就有顯著的改善。

: Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was asked what helped to bring about LaMarcus
: Aldridge's resurgence: "When he said, ‘I want to be traded.' It's as simple
: as that. I said, ‘Woah, nobody's ever said that to me before.' It's my
: 20-whatever year, and nobody's ever said that like, ‘I'm not enjoying this.
: I'm not confident. I'm not sure you want me here. I want to be traded.'"
: Popovich was asked if that conversation took place after the season. "Yes,
: yes. I thought that's already been public? So, we had some dinners and
: meetings and laughed. I was very candid with him. I told him, ‘I'd be happy
: to trade you. You get me a talent like Kevin Durant, and I'll drive you to
: the airport. I'll pack your bags. And I will drive you there, get you on the
: plane, and get you seated.' He laughed you know, that kind of thing. I said,
: ‘But short of that, I'm your best buddy because you're here for another
: year, and you ain't going nowhere. Because we're not gonna get for you
: talent-wise what we would want. So, let's figure this thing out.' And we did.
: That's what we came to. As discussions went on, it became apparent to me that
: it really was me. He's been playing in the league for nine years. I'm not
: going to turn him into some other player. I could do some things defensively
: or rebounding-wise. But on offense, I was going to move him everywhere. That
: was just silly on my part. Total overcoaching. So, we took care of it, and
: he's been fantastic."

上色的地方是Pop所說的話，如果是我翻譯的話會這樣寫：

簡單來說，Pop根本沒酸Aldridge，反而是用幹話跟懷柔方式留他下來。


來嘗試第三版：

AGG：吹密。

Pop：只要你幫我弄來KD等級的替代品，我樂意之至。我還幫你一路打包鋪座位送行上機勒

AGG笑了 （笑點在哪？後面解釋）

Pop：但低於這個包裹／在AGG←→KD那樣的交易無法成真的狀況下，球團就是不會啟動交易
、我們就會是命運共同體。（翻譯：你AGG覺得你現在這死樣子能換到KD嗎？）所以死了這
條心吧。讓我們看是要繼續大眼瞪小眼還是來把問題解決。

Pop："And we did."

理由是AGG 已經是一位在聯盟打了快10年的老將（翻譯：他有自己的一套，而且已經定型了
）。
Pop：但我居然還想要改造他成為別類型的球員。事實上我可以修正他的部分在於防守跟籃
板，但進攻我也讓他跑東跑西（everywhere），讓他無所適從，是我過度掌控了。

回到Pop 究竟是貶低還是捧高AGG？
取決於他對比 KD 和 AGG的方式。對此 Pop 訪談中補上了這一句修飾一開始的幹話：

你AGG此刻根本換不到我們球隊想要的戰力拼圖（所以球團不會啟動交易的）。
Because we're not gonna get for you talent-wise what we would want.

這個戰力拼圖，在幹話的形容中就是以KD作為代表號。
而這是一個無害的比較。

第一，KD是去年FMVP，等於是說AGG換不到聯盟第一人。
第二，馬刺不真的需要KD，因為已經有可愛。
第三，AGG與KD不同位置。

因此真正會傷害AGG的，是拿一個跟AGG有可比性的球員，BG、Towns，任何人。

第一篇有人以女友備胎比喻，
說如果說「我追不到隔壁班花，所以跟妳交往」，這話之所以會傷到女友，前提在於這話
不夠幹。

而Pop 跟AGG的談話比較像：

女友鬧分手。
男：如果跟你分手，你能說服妮可基嫚來跟我交往，那就分。分完你跟我借過的錢都不用
還，我還把我名下還完車貸的車戶過給你，讓你把所要你要的東西都裝走。

女友笑了。（看來是沒要分）
