Dustin Pedroia has an avulsion fracture(撕脫骨折) on his left ring finger
according to Gordon Edes of ESPN Boston. The injury will keep him out for the
last two games of the season.

( An avulsion fracture is a bone fracture which occurs when a fragment of bone
tears away from the main mass of bone as a result of physical trauma.)

“I don't think it's too bad, but it's bothering me,” he said.
