According to a report by Sports Illustrated writer Tom Verducci,
Dustin Pedroia was injured during a workout at the WBC in Miami on
Friday.

Verducci reports that Pedroia is heading back to Fort Myers, Fla.,
to be examined by team doctors. He apparently strained a muscle
near his rib cage.
