No more European events in 2003 for father-to-be Agassi

Fri Sep 26, 4:54 PM ET

STOCKHOLM, Sept 26 (Reuters) - Andre Agassi has decided not not to play
any more tournaments in Europe this year with his wife Steffi Graf expe
cting their second child in November.

Australian Open winner Agassi had been scheduled to play in the Masters
Madrid, the Stockholm Open and the Masters Paris events next month.

"I'm sorry that I will not be participating in the Stockholm tournament
but, hopefully, I will return in the future," Agassi told organisers of
the event, which runs from October 20-26, after confirming he would not
play in Europe again in 2003.

The American, the world number four and fourth in the Champions Race,
has already secured a place in the end-of-season Masters Cup to be
played in Houston, Texas from November 8-16.
