The Nets had another game come down to the final possession Wednesday
night in Atlanta, and this time the opponents' shot was off the mark.
Somebody named Jeremy Richardson missed a jumper that could have won
the game for the Hawks with two seconds to go and the Nets ended their
four-game losing streak. With the Nets turning the ball over nine
times in the first half, Atlanta led by as many as 11 points in the
second quarter. But the Nets slowly made their way back and took the
lead late in the third.

They led by six with less than three minutes to go, but a 9-2 Atlanta
run capped by a Joe Johnson tip-in of his own miss gave the Hawks a
one-point lead with 14 seconds to go. Vince Carter then drove to the
basket for a layup, putting the Nets back ahead and leading to
Richardson's miss on the other end. Carter grabbed the board and hit
one of two free throws with one tenth of a second to go to give the
Nets a two-point victory.

兩分之差贏球。


Carter led the Nets with 22 points and nine boards, Mikki Moore added
19 and six and Eddie House carried the Nets' offense through much of
the first half, scoring 13 of his 16 points before the break. On the
other end of the floor, Antoine Wright helped hold Johnson to just 10
points on 5-of-16 from the field.

Carter 的 22 分 9 籃板皆為全隊最高， Moore 也有 19 分 6 籃板的表
現，而 Eddie House更是在第一節結束前掌握了籃網的進攻節奏，得了他
今晚 16 分中的 13 分。另外 Antoine Wright 也在防守 Joe Johnson
