密爾瓦基釀酒人投手尼爾森（Jimmy Nelson）最近遇上生命中其中一個大難關，懷有雙胞
胎的妻子米莉莎（Melissa Nelson）被診斷患上雙胎輸血綜合症（TTTS），肚內兩名女兒
死亡機會極大，所幸，現時米莉莎已熬過手術台一關。尼爾森近2天在IG連續發文，對外公
佈最新情況。

尼爾森昨天IG在發文，稱上週發現，雙胎輸血綜合徵，若不動手處理的話，死亡機會率高
達95%，妻子必須接受鐳射手術治理，方能保住兩名女嬰的性命。尼爾森在術前發文支持
老婆：「每人都有自己的奮鬥故事，不論大小。我們之所以留下故事，不是因為眼前面對
的困難，而是在於我們怎樣去面對。」

PLEASE READ: I rarely post things this long but platforms are meant to be
used. Over the last week we have found out that our baby girls have twin to
twin transfusion; and if untreated carries about a 95% mortality rate.
Fortunately there is a laser procedure that can be done to try and reverse
the progression of the transfusion. However, even with the procedure there
still is a rather significant chance of losing one or both; and complications
that can happen post operation.

To get to the points I’m trying to make. First off, I couldn’t be any more
proud of my wife, @melissa_l_nelson , for being the strongest person I’ve
met. Over the last 16 months she has been my rock through the hardest period
of time in my life; and although I continue to fight now it’s my turn to be
the rock. The things that we have gone through and continue to go through
will only strengthen us.
Which brings me to my next point. Every single person has their battles, no
matter how big or small or internal or external, we all have them. Who we are
and our legacy is not what we go through but how we go through it, grow from
it, and learn from it. Very rarely do we see beneath the surface of people
and know the full story; and for that reason I want to encourage everyone to
be slow to judge, criticize, and hate but be quick to listen, help, and love.
Even in times like this we know how fortunate and blessed we are. We also
want to say ahead of time that we appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.

不久後米莉莎手術順利完成，鬆一口氣的尼爾森指未來48小時都要留院觀察，性命攸關：
「我們感謝外界的鼓勵，你們對我的支持實在是太棒了，感謝你們！」縱使米莉莎昨天在
手術台上過了一關，但仍存在手術後遺症的風險。《紐約郵報》續補充，雙胎輸血綜合徵
是兩個嬰兒因共用一個胎盤，導致血管出現異常。此症非遺傳病，任何懷有多胎的孕婦都
有機會患上。

尼爾森是釀酒人2010年第二輪選回的投手，一度被視為釀酒人先發輪值的中流砥柱，2017
年投出12勝6敗3.49防禦率亮眼成績時，因為肩傷動了關節唇撕裂修補手術，這個傷也讓
台灣之光王建民付出了重大代價，尼爾森去年一整季都在復健中，今年能不能回來，並且
保持一號先發投手身手有待觀察中。
