因為Nick Castellanos的到來而被紅人球團指定讓渡(Designated for assignment)的外
野手Jose Siri，今天被水手從讓渡名單中挑中，新賽季將轉戰西雅圖。
24歲的Siri曾是辛辛那提農場系統中備受期待的新秀，事實上他在兩年前、職業生涯的第
一個賽季也表現得十分精彩，在1A繳出.293/.341/.530的打擊三圍、24轟及46盜的多拍子
佳績，但近兩賽季在小聯盟則未讓人看到持續進化的跡象，在近517個打數中僅留下平均
.237/.300/.357的打擊水準，也在積極補強即戰力的紅人陣中失去了躍升的機會。

水手補進Siri的主因是陣中原先的主戰右外野手Mitch Haniger日前接受核心肌群手術，
預計球季初期將缺席上看八周的時間，因此Siri將加入Mallex Smith, Kyle Lewis, Dee
Gordon, Jake Fraley及Braden Bishop的競逐行列，爭取球隊外野手的名額。而目前仍有
小聯盟下放權的他，也是水手球團調度人力上的活棋。
