Mariners to retain Bavasi, Hargrove

General manager and manager will be back for the '07 season

SEATTLE -- In an open letter to season-ticket holders Thursday,
the Mariners said that they will retain general manager Bill Bavasi
and manager Mike Hargrove for the 2007 season.

The letter -- signed by chief executive officer Howard Lincoln and
chief operating officer Chuck Armstrong -- confirmed that Bavasi and
Hargrove will return next season.
