October 10, 2006 -- The door is virtually slammed shut and double-bolted, but
Kerry Kittles never wants to say never about a possible comeback.
那扇門看來已經關上而且門栓一個還不夠,但KK不願去說永遠不可能復出

"Realistically, I don't think it will ever happen, but you never know," said
Kittles, who is helping on a volunteer basis around Nets camp as a way to
quench his thirst to play. "That fire is still burning. I wouldn't say it's
completely out, but I'll say there's pretty much no chance."

Kittles, 32, was forced from the game with a back issue that followed
multiple knee surgeries.

"I've always thought of myself as being a smart, intelligent player, and when
you have you young guys trying to learn how to play at this level you can
always share things," Kittles said.

Kittles has raves for this Net team and, when prompted, gushed about rookie
Marcus Williams. Kittles was the backcourt teammate of Jason Kidd for the Net
teams that ran their fastbreak to the '02 and '03 NBA Finals. This current
Net team has more offensive firepower than that '03 team, which had better
defenders, Kittles assessed.

But none of the previous teams had a backup for Kidd quite like Williams.
但這幾年隊長從沒有一個像M.Williams這麼好的替補

"I hadn't seen him play much before this," Kittles said. "He's the best
backup point guard they've had. ... Since Jason has been here, he's the best
backup point guard that's been here, potential-wise."
Kittles說:"我之前沒什麼看過他打球.他是網隊曾有過的替補控衛中就潛力而言,
最好的一個."

Kittles, traded after the 2003-04 season to the Clippers, has remained
friendly with coach Lawrence Frank and plays golf with Kidd. He hasn't really
considered coaching as a profession, but this is a chance to get a taste and
learn if there is an appeal as a coach, scout or consultant.
Kittles雖在03~04球季後被交易到快艇,但跟法禿仍保有友誼,也會跟隊長一起打高爾夫.
他還沒考慮過當職業的教練,不過這次經驗讓他可以嘗試或學學是否有興趣當個教練.

"Kerry's in the next phase of his life after playing. Basically we wanted to
open the doors," Frank explained. "He's part of the Nets' family. I wanted
him to experience it, and if he likes it and it's something he wants to do,
then we'll pursue it."

我希望他能用身體去感受,如何他喜歡,而且他想做的話,我們願試試看"
