Kevin Durant: ‘We’re forcing the league to get back to skilled players’

Kevin Durant didn’t consider how the NBA would respond to his relocation to
the Warriors, but he still has some thoughts on what that move did to the
league.
KD沒有在在意聯盟其他隊對他跳槽勇士的看法，不過他對他跳槽勇士對其他隊造成的影響

In a recent conversation with ESPN’s Cari Champion, Durant gave his take on
the NBA “weapons race” — as Rockets GM Daryl Morey put it — happening
this summer after Golden State’s dominant title run.
不過KD最近接受ESPN記者的採訪，對於火箭總管Morey在勇士拿下冠軍後發表「NBA進入軍
備競賽」，說出他的看法。
“Our team now, the way we play, we’re forcing the league to get back to
skilled players. Like, forcing guys to be able to dribble, pass, shoot,”
Durant told Champion. “If you’re a one-dimensional player, you can’t play
against us. I looked at it as, I’m just helping our league turn back to a
skilled league.”
「我們勇士的打法，迫使聯盟其他隊伍開始尋找有技巧的球員。譬如說，他得要會運球，
傳球，跟外線，」KD跟記者說。「如果你只是單面向的球員，你是打不贏我們的。我認為

Still, Durant reiterated that he decided on the Warriors for his own reasons
rather than anyone else. An leisurely routine was not among those reasons,
Durant said.
不過，KD再次強調加入勇士是他個人的因素，跟其他人沒有任何關係，跟舒適圈也沒關
係。
“I didn’t go there to make my life easier every day,” he said. “I didn’t
so I could stop getting up at 8:30 (a.m.) and try to be the first one on the
court. I didn’t go there to walk into every game and be satisfied if I have
20 points and shoot 30 percent from the field. That’s just like, in my DNA,
that’s just like my blood, that’s what wakes me up. I can’t stand when
somebody discredits the work. Like, I actually did that. I actually put that
in. Don’t take that away from me.”
「我加入勇士不是要變得更舒服的，」KD說。「我加入勇士，並不是要就可以不用早上
8:30起床，不用第一個到球場。我到勇士不是就走進球場比賽，然後得個20分或命中率30

Champion also asked Durant what it was like “being bullied” throughout the
year.

“I hear what you say, I hear how you defining me as a player and a person,”
Durant said of fans who hated on him. “(In the past) if you recognize that
and try to address it, you were soft mentally. And that was kinda funny to
me, because I think that’s the opposite. You show a lot of courage when you
want to take up for yourself.”
「我聽到你說的，也聽到你如何看我是一個球員或是做為一個人，」KD講到一個恨他的球
迷。「在過去如果認同這樣行為而去解釋，會被認為是個軟蛋；對我來說那很好笑，因為

Durant did so, and his reward wound up being a championship. How does it
feel, KD?

“It’s fun. It’s fun being the best team,” Durant replied to that
question. “It’s fun knowing that no other team’s better than you. As much
as you say whatever. You look at the record books — we’re champs.”
