Wanda Durant induced an apology from Stephen A. Smith on Tuesday in regards
to his comments on her son.
杜蘭特的媽媽(以下簡稱杜蘭媽)在星期二的節目上要球評史密斯為他以前對他兒子所
做的評論道歉。
Kevin Durant's mom made an appearance on ESPN's First Take and spoke with
Smith, whom she slammed last month for criticizing KD what he called a “weak
” choice to go from the Thunder to the Warriors.
杜蘭媽在一個ESPN的節目上碰到球評史密斯；上個月杜蘭媽才狠罵史密斯，因為史密斯
說她兒子KD跳槽勇士是一種懦弱的行為。
“If I had a mic, I would drop it,” Wanda Durant said Tuesday. “It's over.
My son said it last night. He said it.”
「如果我有麥的話，我會給它摔下去。」杜蘭媽說，「但是我兒杜蘭昨晚說了，『一切都
結束了』，那就結束了。」
Smith replied with a lengthy explanation about his comments concerning Kevin
Durant's decision, including praising KD several times for his skills as a
basketball player and for his quality as a person.
史密斯趕緊給了杜蘭媽一個長長的解釋，說KD好棒棒，不管是做球員還是做人。
“Your son is a champion. He deserves props for that,” Smith said, in part.
“Always a model citizen. Always classy. Always conducts himself right.
Always has been an elite player. and now he’s a champion.”
「你兒子KD第一名啦！他值得的！他是個模範生！他行為優雅，舉止大方，是個頂尖
的球員！現在，他是第一名喔！」
That did not quite mollify Mama Durant.
那一堆落落長的解釋，杜蘭媽還是不爽。
“Well, thank you. But, I just think if Kevin has a certain talent, then he
shouldn’t be brought down by anybody on where he plays,” Wanda Durant said.
“If you think he’s causing an unbalance in the league, then maybe the other
players gotta (step it up). Some of them may have to do that. But I don’t
think it’s fair to minimize what Kevin offers Golden State and what they
offered him, to say what it was the weakest move in NBA history. I think you’
re wrong. You’re too harsh. The things that you said about my team, I really
appreciate that, but I just think you were kind of harsh.”
「嗯，感謝你的稱讚。但是，如果我兒杜蘭是有天分的，那就不應該因為他要去哪裡打
球而被人恥笑。」
「如果你認為我兒杜蘭導致球隊實力差距太多，那就要有其他的球員站出來啊！但是，

The crowd started chanting “Say-You’re-Sorry” — not surprising since the
show was filmed in Oakland.

“I’m sorry,” Smith said to Durant before the two shook hands warmly.
