Hsieh & Peng: Co-Doubles No.1s

MADRID, Spain - By virtue of this week's results at the Mutua Madrid Open,
Hsieh Su-Wei will join her loyal doubles partner, Peng Shuai, as co-World
No.1s on Monday's new WTA Doubles Rankings.

憑著這週馬德里公開賽戰績，謝淑薇將與搭檔彭帥在下週一女雙排名並列第一。

Earlier this year Peng became the first player from China ever to hold a
World No.1 ranking in tennis, male or female, singles or doubles, and now
Hsieh will achieve the same feat for Chinese Taipei.

彭帥今年初[2014/02/17]成為中國網球史上首位第一，如今淑薇也為台灣帶來同樣創舉。

"It is a great accomplishment for Hsieh Su-Wei to join Peng Shuai as co-World
No.1s," Stacey Allaster, the Chairman & CEO of the WTA, said of Thursday's
exciting announcement. "Not only are Hsieh and Peng a great doubles team, but
they are an inspiration to the fans throughout the Asia-Pacific region."

WTA主席Stacey Allaster對謝彭配的讚許。

"Reaching No.1 in the world is a great feeling," Hsieh said. "We have been
working really hard as a team. I was very proud of Peng reached No.1 earlier
this year and now I am happy we can share it."

淑薇說：「站上世界第一的感覺很讚。我們一起努力很久了，先前對彭帥登頂感到驕傲，
現在我很開心我們能共享這份榮耀。」

"Our goal this year is to reach Singapore," Peng said. "It is nice to share
the No.1 ranking with Su-Wei and we look forward to playing together the rest
of the year, trying to reach the WTA Championships."

會繼續搭檔，嘗試打進大年終。」

Hsieh and Peng have won seven WTA doubles titles together over the last 12
months, including two this year at Doha and Indian Wells. They have 11 WTA
doubles titles together and are 11-0 in finals.

包含今年的杜哈及印地安泉，謝彭配過去12個月拿下七座、保持十一場決賽全勝紀錄。

They are currently No.5 on the Road To Singapore leaderboard - the journey to
the BNP Paribas WTA Championships Singapore presented by SC Global - and
could go high as No.2 after Madrid.

馬德里過後，兩位在WTA大年終競逐榜最高將來到第二位。

But what's certain is they will be the 10th team ever to become co-World
No.1s in doubles:
