Hewitt ends Henman run at Queen's

Tim Henman suffered a disappointing semi-final defeat to Lleyton Hewitt
at Queen's Club having led by a break in the final set.

Henman had looked on course for his first win over Hewitt on grass in
four attempts when he recovered from a poor first set to hit top form.

The Briton led 2-0 in the third set but Hewitt came back to win 6-3 3-6
6-2.

Hewitt will face James Blake in the final after he beat defending
champion Andy Roddick in the second semi-final.

Henman had just levelled the match and was a break up in the third set
when he reacted angrily after a poor call cost him his serve at 2-1.

He later called the supervisor on to the court to complain and lost his
concentration, allowing three-times former champion Hewitt to win five games
on the trot and take victory.

It's a shame for Henman - he played extremely well in the second set, only to
be undone by a series of poor line calls

Henman said: "Sometimes you handle things well, sometimes you don't. I don't
think I did handle it particularly well today.

"The line calling was appalling today. There were probably seven or eight
calls that were just mistakes.

"It's very difficult to play like that when you sort of lose all confidence."

Hewitt was clearly relieved with his win.

He said: "It was always going to be a tough match - I'm just happy to get
through.

"You keep battling away, but Tim was playing well. I just waiting for my
chance and took them in the third set.

"There were so many tight line calls and they can't get it right every time."

Blake's win over Roddick was his first in seven attempts. He outhit his
compatriot from the baseline to record a 7-5 6-4 victory.
