Hector Bellerin has signed a new long-term contract.

The 21-year-old has developed into one of the Premier League’s outstanding
full-backs since breaking into the first team in 2014/15.

Last season he firmly established his place in our back four, making 44
appearances in all competitions and creating nine goals - third only to Mesut
Ozil and Alexis.

Hector’s displays earned him a place in the 2015/16 PFA Team of the Year and
a call up to the Spain national team for Euro 2016.

2011. He impressed at youth level before making his first-team debut in the
League Cup in September 2014.

cast covetous glances in his direction - but Hector Bellerin insists it has
never crossed his mind to leave.

The Spain international signed a new contract with us on Monday and is
determined to continue his development here after joining in 2011.

“I’m really, really happy and this club is my home right now,” Bellerin
told Arsenal Player. “I’ve been here for more than five years now so I was
really, really excited when the club told me that they wanted to extend my
contract.

“I wasn’t thinking about anything else other than staying here and
