Gordon Beckham: Announces retirement

Beckham announced his retirement from professional baseball via his personal
Twitter account Wednesday.

Beckham hasn't seen major-league action since the 2019 campaign and will now
officially hang up his cleats. He spent most of his MLB career with the White
Sox but also spent time with the Mariners, Angels, Giants, Tigers and
Atlanta. Beckham hit .237/.300/.367 with 80 home runs, 187 doubles, 420 runs
and 351 RBI in 1,069 games.

Beckham 過去是在2008年美國職棒選秀會上以第一輪第八順位進入芝加哥白襪隊

並且在隔年就被白襪隊升上大聯盟，而且打出相當搶眼的表現

不過他在之後陸續轉戰天使隊、勇士隊、巨人隊、水手隊、老虎隊都沒有太出色的發揮

合計11年的大聯盟球員生涯，一共繳出807支安打、80發全壘打以及35次盜壘成功

生涯通算打擊三圍 .237/.300/.367 OPS 0.667
