三月的邁阿密會是最後一站

“I made the decision a couple of weeks ago to end my career at Miami,” the
31-year-old Chilean shared in a press conference Thursday. “It's 100 percent
personal. I realised I don't have the energy to be where I want to be.”

這幾年一直有膝傷的困擾，加上前年十月動了臀部手術。

“I always said I would play until 30 and in the last months I didn't stop
thinking about it and the final decision was made three weeks ago,” he
elaborated. “It was difficult to play in Vina, but the decision was already
taken.

“If I retired at Vina it would have been too emotional. Miami means a lot
for me and there are a lot of Chilean people over there. I also want to say
goodbye to my friends on the tour.”

因為邁阿密的智利球迷，所以選擇在那裡結束網球生涯。
(邁阿密前還有巴西聖保羅，阿根廷男網兩站)

他說離開職業網球賽場不代表就此和網球絕緣，他會花點時間想想未來的打算。
