The goalkeeper was not given much hope for Robben's opener or Van Persie's
drilled effort from close-range, but made an inexcusable error to let Depay's
winner slip through his hands.

The centre-back was put in a difficult position for Robben's opener, caught

Generally coped well in defence, although he would have preferred Robben to

Most of Australia's attacks went through the former Palermo man while he was

Not one of his better displays of the year, as his passing left a lot to be

The former Everton man was a significant nuisance against Chile and the Dutch
will be equally happy to see the back of him. Put himself about, unfairly in
some instances, and netted an incredible volley. A booking rules him out of
the clash with Spain.

A very effective display on the left as he gave Janmaat a few real problems.
His use of the ball was good, but he should have scored just a few moments
before Depay's strike, but he instead tried to set Leckie up.

With Cahill tiring, Halloran was introduced and although he produced a couple
of decent crosses, he was largely quiet.

Bresciano's replacement and an excellent one at that. He won the penalty and
caused numerous problems for the Dutch, particularly Janmaat.

Came on late to add fresh legs and impetus, but he hardly touched the ball as
the Dutch monopolised the ball.

The goalkeeper did not look remotely commanding and he routinely spilled the
ball when he should not have.

Arguably one of the revelations of the competition's first round of games,
the left-back had nowhere near as much effect on proceedings in Porto Alegre,
and he often struggled against Leckie.
可以說第一輪比賽的一個啟示 這名左後衛對於今天的晉級沒什麼功勞 對付Leckie很掙扎

R. Vlaar 1.5
Failed to cope with Cahill's physicality or the dynamism of Leckie. Looked
slow and cumbersome, and will undoubtedly be pinpointed as a weak link by
better sides.

S. de Vrij 2
With Vlaar trying to deal with Cahill, De Vrij was tasked with mopping up
everything else following Martins Indi's departure. He looked shaky too,
though, and appeared nervous on the ball.

Leading on from his commanding display against Diego Costa, the Feyenoord man
was in good form until a heavy challenge from Cahill ended his day – and

Deployed in the wing-back role on the right, Janmaat was not particularly
effective going forward and did not convince at the other end either, giving

Unstoppable against the Spanish, the Bayern star was not quite as effective
against the Australia. However, he was always a threat and opened the scoring
in excellent fashion, converting after a lung-busting run.

W. Sneijder 1.5
Something of a forgotten man in some circles following his move to
Galatasaray, he was unable to reproduce his performance against Spain as he
put in a wasteful show, with his passing not what most would expect of him.

J. de Guzmán 3.5
Probably the Netherlands' best midfielder, completing 91 percent of his
passes and proving to be effective when attacking and lending a hand at the
back.

Inspired in his defensive duties in the Dutch's tournament opener, the Milan
midfielder was his usual dogged self in the middle, but his distribution was
very sloppy.

Like Robben, the Manchester United man was in lethal form against Spain and
then not quite at his best against Australia. He was, however, decisive once
again and levelled with an unstoppable strike. Will miss the final group game
due to suspension, but should be fresh for the knockout phase.
就如同Robben(30) 他不像上一場那樣致命 但是他仍踢進吹平分 小組賽最後一場會被禁賽
不過也代表他能精力充沛進入淘汰賽

G. Wijnaldum 2.5
Came on in the final stages and his only real contribution was fouling Leckie.
後段才上場 他唯一真正的貢獻就是犯了Leckie一規

M. Depay 3.5
Erratic, but very lively. Sometimes he would produce a delightful piece of
skill to beat his man, other times he would give possession straight back to
Australia. Netted the winner with a good effort from range, but he will be
thanking Ryan for his role in it.
不穩定但是很活躍 有時候用迷人的技術打敗對手 有時候又直接把球還回去 一個遠射
拿下勝利 不過Ryan也是一大功臣

J. Lens 2.5
On for the final five minutes and almost added a fourth and a clever piece of
movement an snap shot.
最後五分鐘上場 差點就得到第四分
