Hsieh Su-Wei and Barbora Strycova might want to consider a more permanent
arrangement.

Teaming up for the first time, the veteran pair claimed the BNP Paribas Open
doubles title Saturday, upending 2013 champs, three-time Grand Slam winners
and Olympic gold medalists Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina, 6-4, 6-4.

The two veterans, who defeated the top three seeded teams en route to the
title, take home a combined $439,350 with the win.

第一次搭檔，這組老將搭配在星期六的冠軍賽中將 2013 的冠軍，同時也是三次大滿貫得
主及奧運金牌組合馬卡洛娃及維斯妮娜以 6-4 6-4 擊敗。兩位老將這次邁向冠軍的路擊
敗了前三種子，可一起帶回家 $439,350 (約 1,295W NT)。

“We got together, like, 10 minutes to 12:00 before the sign-in because we
didn’t know if we could get in,” Strycova explained. “[Hsieh] was supposed
to be with Monica [Niculescu] here and me with Andrea [Hlavackova], but there
was some rule changes. We couldn’t switch. So we said, ‘OK, we will play
together and they will play together.’ So this is how we ended up.”

Hsieh now has 20 doubles titles, including two Grand Slams and one in the WTA
Finals, and won in Indian Wells in 2014 with Peng Shuai. Strycova, now has a
tour-high 21 doubles titles, and had been playing with Lucie Safarova.

謝目前囊括 20 個女雙冠軍，包括與彭帥獲得的兩個大滿貫及一個年終賽冠軍，且 2014

The No. 1 seeded team, who had not dropped a set coming into the finals, had
11 previous titles together. But this was a day for a couple of friends who
have known each other since juniors.

大會頭號種子本次到冠軍賽是一盤未丟，兩人一起搭檔也奪下了十一個巡迴賽冠軍。
第二段不知道是否寫錯，不太清楚謝與史兩個是否青少年賽就認識，故不翻。

“In doubles, what’s most important is you enjoy the game …,” Strycova
said. “If you give positive energy and like Su-Wei said, if you just enjoy
and don’t put so much pressure but you go for it, it can happen, good
things. And it happened.”

史表示：「雙打最重要的就是享受比賽。如果你在場上給予正面能量，就像淑薇所說，如
果你享受但不放太多壓力盡力去打，好事可能會發生。然後他發生了。」
