UPDATE (5:25 p.m. EST): Dwight Howard has agreed to a one-year deal
with the Washington Wizards worth the mid-level exception,
reports The Athletic’s Jared Weiss.

Original story: The Wizards plan to be “at the front of the line”
to offer Dwight Howard a contract once his pending buyout is completed
with the Nets, reports the Washington Post‘s Candace Buckner.

Washington is looking to fill its center position after trading
Marcin Gortat to the Clippers last week.
