Blue Stars
Billy Silva, a Blue Stars tenor drummer from 2004-2006 and 2009, recently
spent time in Haiti, helping to rebuild the country after its destructive
earthquake. His work helping others was recently featured on the news program
“Oklahoma Horizon.”

Boston Crusaders
Check out some new performance clips of the Boston Crusaders brass section
from the corps’ April rehearsal camp in a new video posted on the DCI Fan
Network. The corps will make its public debut performance on May 15 in
Bradenton, Fla.

The Cadets
You can listen to a new audio snippet of the Cadets’ 2010 production “Toy
Souldier,” recorded at the corps’ April rehearsal camp. The corps will
unveil its complete production on Sunday, May 30, during a special event in
Pompton Plains, N.J.

Carolina Crown
Carolina Crown developed a new three-year sponsorship with Wernick Musical
Instruments, specifically to use the company’s electronic Xylosynth
instrument. "Xylosynth has allowed me to expand the depth of my arrangements,
and I am very excited to incorporate this technology into our setup at
Carolina Crown,” said front ensemble arranger Andrew Markworth.

The Cavaliers
The Cavaliers will host their annual pre-season barbeque on Saturday, May 29
in Lisle, Ill. Along with dinner, attendees will have the chance to preview
the corps’ 2010 production “Mad World.”

Colts
The Colts recapped the performances from their Spring Debut in a new video
posted online. The Colts and Colt Cadets performed at the event along with
partner programs of the organization including the Pandemonium steel drum
band and the Dubuque Senior High Color Guard.

Glassmen
Glassmen brass coordinator Keith Hallas recently traveled to China as a
featured speaker at the Chinese Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles
Festival. The four-day event features concert and marching bands along with a
symposium for Chinese music educators.

Madison Scouts
Madison Scouts alum James Foley, has been promoted to Warrant Officer in the
U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps. Foley is one of four Scouts alums who serve
in the Marines as part of “The Commandant’s Own.”

The Mandarins’ recently released spring update video includes an interview
with corps drum majors Chris Honda and Boyce Jeffries.

Phantom Regiment is mourning the loss of two corps alums, Concetta (Savino)
Culp (’96-’97) and John Seay (’05-’06).
