Cashman talks about Chien Ming Wang - 棒球

New York Yankees GM Brian Cashman talks about pitcher Chien-Ming Wang

NEW YORK -- Throughout his struggles, Chien-Ming Wang has maintained that
he's perfectly healthy. Yankees manager Joe Girardi and general manager
Brian Cashman have done the same. But Cashman admits that Wang has
exhibited the red flags that come with injury.

"As of right now, we have no reason to believe he's not healthy," Cashman
said. "But I've been down that road too before. So, we're looking at
everything else right now but health. But at the same his velocity is down,
and his command is off, and those are two indicators also sometimes. So,
we'll keep looking at it."

「就目前而言，我們沒有理由不相信他是健康的，但是我之前也經歷過這種情形過，
所以我們將會看所有其他的事情，但健康除外。然而他球速降，沒控球，這兩個現象
有時也是受傷的指標。所以我們還是會持續觀察這點。」

Said Cashman: "When somebody struggles to this degree, you always wonder
about health."

Wang threw his scheduled bullpen session on Monday, after which Cashman,
Girardi and pitching coach Dave Eiland met regarding what to do next with
Wang. Skipping the pitcher's next turn -- which with the Monday's rainout
is now next Tuesday at Detroit -- remains an option, Cashman said a decision
won't be announced until Tuesday.

"We're trying to figure it out," Cashman said. "To be honest, we're trying
to do it as fast as we can. He had a bullpen session today. Joe and Dave
are going to try to talk to him about some ideas as we work through this.
We've spent a lot of time on this."
