貝克漢在超聯決賽上半場時膝蓋受傷，他將不會參與九月八日英格蘭與以色列、
以及十二號與俄羅斯的比賽。

不過因為MLS賽制與歐洲聯賽不太一樣的關係，在十月過後，若是英格蘭能自E組
中晉級的話，貝克漢說他將比其他人獲得更多喘息及休息的機會。

England have suffered an injury scare ahead of next month's crucial Euro 2008
qualifiers after David Beckham limped out of LA Galaxy's latest game.

Beckham, 32, suffered a knee injury during the first half of the Superliga
final match with Mexican side Pachuca.

He tripped over the ball while making a tackle and, after limping off, had
his right knee heavily bandaged.

Steve McClaren's England entertain Israel on Saturday 8 September and then
host Russia four days later in Group E.

Meanwhile, Beckham says if England reach the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and
Switzerland, he will be fitter than he has been at previous international
tournaments.

Beckham told the Daily Express: "If we do qualify, I'll be a lot more rested
than people playing in the Premier League.

"That is a big advantage of being in the USA, where the fixture calendar is
different. It's also the advantage of the shorter season from April to
October here.

"If we make it to the finals, I will be a lot fresher going into games."
