Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Red Sox offered updates on starter
Josh Beckett and outfielder Carl Crawford on Sunday.
Beckett, who was forced out of Friday's start against the Orioles with a
hyperextended left knee when he slipped on the mound, threw on the side and
has been cleared to play in Tuesday's All-Star Game.
Crawford, who has been on the DL since mid-June, will have a two-game rehab
stint next weekend with Triple-A Pawtucket.
Red Sox manager Terry Francona said that, if all goes well, Crawford will
join the club on July 18 for their series at Camden Yards against the
Orioles.
