當時預計要4到6個月復原，如今已過了4個半月
"I don't know that it's unrealistic, I wouldn't be surprised if
it's in another week," Francona said. "We're getting into that
area now where, maybe DH a couple at bats, then play third. I'll
bet you we're getting close to where it'll be within a week.
"He's doing good. He's doing fine. He's running the bases. Every
step he's supposed to do, he's done. I think his worry is getting
in a game, playing third, maybe a night game. We'll do our best
to ease him in where he gets comfortable, baseball-wise."

Mark Kotsay 感覺很好並正在復健中
Kotsay 在1/29做了背部椎間盤手術，原先鎖定5/1回到場上
但是根據 Francona 的說法 Kotsay 很積極的復建
已經可以作大幅度的動作
"He's doing really well," said Francona. "You can see him getting
stronger."
In the meantime, Jeff Bailey, Chris Carter, Paul McAnulty and
Brad Wilkerson are all battling for Kotsay's spot on the roster.

Spring Training: Smoltz's return could be sooner
原訂6/1復出的 John Smoltz，現在劇本要改一下了
Francona 昨天早上說過去三天以來 Smoltz 的狀態非常好
去年6月肩膀手術後的復建情形也非常好
球團給的進度不會加快，但是仍有機會看到 Smoltz 提前復出
"If he's ready to pitch we're not going to hold him back," said Francona.
"It's going to end up being pretty close."
