John Henry、Tom Werner和Larry Lucchino補上Derek Lowe被幹走的冠軍戒
"I just thought it was one of the classiest things I've seen," Lowe told the
newspaper before Sunday's game. "The traveling secretary called over to our
clubhouse and said, "Hey, someone is going to stop by and wants to give you
something.'"
“They didn't have to do that at all," said Lowe. "I just don't want it to go
unnoticed. I knew there was an opportunity for me to buy another one, but to
have all three of them there when they gave it to me really meant a lot.
"It's something I'll never forget. It almost means more this time because it
was a selfless act on their part. I just want people to know they did this."

Valentine不認為目前的松坂能夠上大聯盟
“I didn’t think he was good as he should be. His mechanic wasn’t very good
at all, I didn’t think. But he’s throwing pain-free, so that’s good.”
不過至少沒有痛痛就是了
“Right now, he’s worried about his strength and his ability to endure
pitches,” Valentine said. “He’ll take another step.”
Matsuzaka isn’t a candidate to pitch out of the bullpen, and there isn’t a
clear-cut choice to leave the rotation.
不可能進牛棚,也無法確定他能夠插進先發
5. Third baseman Will Middlebrooks has nine extra-base hits and 13 RBI. Since
1918, only Kansas City’s Mark Quinn tallied more RBI through his first 10
major league games with 15 in 1999.
