Ball bumps back: 'Don't care what LeBron said'
球爸「我才不甩LeBron說了啥。」
A day after LeBron James told him to "keep my kids' name out of
your mouth," LaVar Ball doubled down on his opinion that the
children of star athletes don't themselves become star athletes.
在昨天LeBron接受媒體提問時回答要球爸別再提自己的家人與兒子後，
球爸今天一反昨天似乎有點滅火的言論，改說自己說的是事實。
「球星養不出另一個球星」
"I gave an opinion on what I felt about no superstars' kids really
being superstars and the fact that they have to live up to their
parents or to their fathers or whatever. I have yet to see one,
and I've been around for 50 years," Ball said in an interview with
SiriusXM's "Full Ride" on Wednesday. "Have you seen one where the
superstar's son is just as good or better than him? I said a
superstar. I ain't saying just a regular player. I'm talking about
a guy who we picture as an icon -- a Dr. J, an Allen Iverson, a
LeBron James. If somebody asks me a question, I'm gonna give them
an answer."
「我只是說出我的觀點，沒有一個超級球星有著超級球星的老爸，
事實就是他們活在老爸的陰影下難以成就大事。至少我活著50年
都沒看過啦。你們難道有看過超級球星的小孩有比他們自己還偉大

LeBron James doesn't think LaVar Ball should ever be talking
publicly about the Cavs star's children, as he did earlier this
month. "Keep my family out of this," James told ESPN.
Ball had made reference to James' sons, LeBron Jr. (12 years old)
and Bryce (9), which prompted the elder James' response.
LeBron昨天受訪時認為球爸不應該公開談論別人的家人和小孩。
起因於球爸之前受訪時曾經提及LeBron 12歲和9歲的小孩。
"He can talk all about his brand, talk about his sons, talk about
basketball, talk about me," James told ESPN on Tuesday. "But keep
my family out of this."
LeBron昨天說
「他可以談論他的計畫，他的兒子，討論籃球，討論我，但是
別去談論我的家人。」
Not content to just reiterate his point, Ball also went on the
offensive against James on Wednesday.
球爸今天受訪則加碼了他的攻擊到LeBron身上。
"I don't care what LeBron said," Ball said. "He talking about he
warned me. He warned me for what? What is a warning going to do?
Nothing."
「我才不甩LeBron說了啥，他說他要警告我，他警告我啥？
警告可以幹嘛？啥都不是！」
Ball also referred to James as "touchy" a day after the four-time
NBA MVP told ESPN that Ball's invocation of James' family is "a
problem now."
球爸甚至針對LeBron昨日說球爸談論他的家人是一個問題而言，
實在太敏感了。
Despite having a problem with LaVar Ball, James said he has
nothing but respect for Lonzo Ball, a standout freshman for UCLA,
who is the eldest of LaVar's three basketball star sons.
不過昨天受訪時LeBron倒是很大器地稱讚了UCLA的Lonzo Ball。
"I actually like [Lonzo]," James told ESPN on Tuesday. "I like his
game."
「我其實挺喜歡他的，我喜歡他的比賽。」
回顧昨天球爸在聽聞LBJ發言後說的話：
"They asked me a question about, do I think superstar
players' kids are good. And just my opinion that I've never seen
one that was really good," Ball said on Fox Sport Radio. "LeBron
is going to make his kids probably one of the best players ever,
according to him ... but I've never seen one really live up to
what their dad has done, so he could be the first or the last."
「他們問了我這個問題，我認為超級球星的兒子會很好嗎？
按照LeBron自己的說法，他會讓自己的小孩變成最偉大的球員之一吧。
（註：事實其實相反，LeBron說到自己小孩時一向低調）

（基本上看完這段原文後，整個諷刺味十足，其實也沒有像昨天
媒體說的是在滅火吧....）
James has been careful to let his sons live life as any other
preteens would, despite their famous father. As Bronny's highlight
videos from AAU tournaments have gone viral in recent years, James
has stuck to a consistent answer when asked about his son's
potential in the sport.
LeBron對他小孩如何成長一項小心謹慎，盡量不讓他們受打擾。
當他的大兒子比賽的片段在網路上造成轟動時，LeBron接受訪問
關於他兒子籃球生涯的時候總是很一致的回答。
"He has a chance," James has often said. "That's all you can ask
for."

LeBron的兒子最大的才12歲，基本上球爸一直去提人家真的還滿不要臉的
