KANSAS CITY -- The Royals once again have reached for a comeback project,
signing 35-year-old right-hander Chien-Ming Wang to a Minor League deal.
As first reported by Yahoo Sports, the deal has a $1 million base, with
potentially $1.75 million in incentives.

Wang last pitched in the Major Leagues with the Blue Jays in 2013, finishing
1-2 in six starts with a 7.67 ERA.
‧ Royals turn attention to rotation depth
Since then, Wang has pitched in the Minors for the Reds, White Sox, Braves
and Mariners. Last year between Triple-A Tacoma (Mariners affiliate) and
Triple-A Gwinnett (Braves affiliate), Wang went 6-11 with a 5.88 ERA in 130
innings.
Wang won 19 games in back-to-back seasons in 2006 and '07 for the Yankees.
